Because of our continuous growth, we would like to invite you to consider Helix ESG as a career option. Helix Corporate Human Resources has a need for a dynamic and talented Head Steward to work offshore on our state-of-the-art DPII vessels.
About the Head Steward Position:
Supervision, planning and co-ordination of the daily activities of the stewards; Ensuring that the laundry is run in a proper and efficient manner; Maintaining inventory of cleaning-, bonded-, equipment- and spares stock; Maintaining inventory of laundry soap stores; Maintaining the running and accounting of the bonded store in a proper manner; Assisting with storing provisions whenever required; Assisting in the ships office with crew changes and light administrative duties as directed by the Catering Manager; Notifying the Catering manager of any condition in the accommodation which might affect the standard of service, sanitary standards or hygiene standards; Reporting of any misbehavior and damage to accommodation facilities and equipment to the Catering manager and further tasks as described in the Marine Safety Manual - section 3.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Head Steward on board a vessel with a large number of persons on board; Able to work as a team member; Must be able to speak, understand and read English; Computer literate; Completion of external safety/trade training as per Company's training matrix
Required Safety / Trade Certifications:
• STCW95 Basic Training
• Valid Passport
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential
• Safe Gulf / Rig Pass Training
